P&O Cruises cancels all sailings until 2021

P&O Cruises has cancelled all Caribbean cruises until the end of January next year and all cruises to and from Southampton until mid to late February 2021.

The cruise line has also previously announced the cancellation of its spring world cruises on two of its ships, Arcadia and Aurora.

All passengers with cancelled bookings are entitled to a full refund. P&O says customers will automatically receive a credit note for the cost of the booking, plus an additional 25% as an incentive to rebook a future cruise. Alternatively, customers can request a 100% cash refund. They just need to fill out an online form.

A company spokesperson told Which? Travel that it’s aiming to process refunds within 14 days of customers submitting the form.

P&O Cruises had previously planned to resume sailing at the end of November, but President Paul Ludlow said it had extended its cancellations due to  “evolving restrictions on travel from the UK”.  He said: “We are continuing to monitor the overall situation closely and will certainly reintroduce cruises should the opportunity arise and it is feasible to do so.”

Cancellations vary according to the ship, the length and complexity of itineraries, port restrictions and the availability of flights for fly/cruises. Further details can be found on the P&O Cruises website.
