Joolz Day+, £929
Launching in August of this year, the Joolz Day+ is a from-birth pushchair and pram that you can use until your child weighs 22kg, which is about five years old.
The carrycot attachment is included and you can also purchase a car seat separately to turn the Day+ into a travel system.
It’s got some handy features, including integrated LED lights on the frame so you’ll be more visible as the dark winter nights draw in, and it’s got a 5kg capacity shopping basket, as well as a seat pocket to stash your valuables and keys.
But what’s it like to push over bumpy ground such as grass or gravel? Read our review of the Joolz Day+ pushchair to find out.
Bugaboo Donkey 3, £1,129 (mono) / £1,415 (twin)
Bugaboo launched its third iteration of the popular Donkey – a convertible single-to-double pushchair – this year.
When set up as a single, it has a massive 10kg shopping basket limit and a side panier basket for extras.
The panier is then removed and the chassis adjusted so it’s wider, which means you can fit a second seat alongside the first to make it a double pushchair. You’ll need to fork out for an extension pack to have the second seat.
As a single pushchair, the Donkey 3 costs more than a thousand pounds but is it really worth it? Read the full review of the Bugaboo Donkey 3 mono or Bugaboo Donkey 3 Duo to find out.
Mamas & Papas Strada, £699
When we’ve quizzed parents on what pushchair features they really rate, some of the most popular include a reversible seat, one-hand fold, adjustable handlebar and from-birth seat.
The Mamas & Papas Strada can tick off a few of these features, so could prove popular with parents.
But our tests also look at what the pushchair is like to push on different surfaces, and whether it’s comfy for your little one to sit in.

Baby Jogger City Elite 2, £549
The Baby Jogger City Elite 2 is a travel system compatible pushchair that’s suitable for children weighing up to 22kg.
Lots of pushchair manufacturers are increasing the weight limits on buggies up to 22kg or even 25kg. That’s around four or five years, which is a bit old to be travelling in a stroller.
But does a higher weight limit translate to a larger seat size and space around the hood for your child? In our review of the Baby Jogger City Elite 2, we check if this is the case.
Nuna Mixx Next, £500
The Nuna Mixx Next launched in June this year and has won a Red Dot Product Design Award.
The manufacturer boasts that you can steer the pushchair with one hand and that it offers a smooth ride.
Our testing lab checks the steering on pushchairs, including whether it turns in a tight 180 degree circle and if it’s going to jolt your baby awake if you’re pushing it over rough ground.

Phil and Teds Go (2020+), £149
If you’re after a compact pushchair, the Phil and Teds Go (2020+) could be worth considering.
It’s a lightweight stroller that’s also travel-system compatible as you can add a Phil and Teds Alpha car seat to the chassis.
Lightweight pushchairs often have small wheels and hoods – to help keep weight and bulk down – but that can affect comfort for your little one.
Read our review of the Phil and Teds Go (2020+) to find out if this is the case here.

- Is the seat comfortable for your baby?
- What’s the pushchair like to push?
