Mattress Black Friday deals

Casper Essentials single mattress: £206 at mattressonline.co.uk (25% off)

We like: Easy to roll over on

We didn’t like: The deal is only available on the single version

This foam mattress from Casper is exclusively available at Mattressonline.co.uk, after Casper stopped selling direct to UK customers early this year. The single version of this mattress currently has 25% off, but the double remains full price (£400). It’s worth keeping an eye on this the closer we get to Black Friday.

Emma The Original double mattress: £343.85 (35% off)

We like: Durable

We didn’t like: Only available online

This year,  Emma is offering 35% off its mattresses for Black Friday. This takes the full price for a standard double (£529) down to Just £343.85. You’ll also get three months free subscription to the Headspace app with our purchase.

It’s not the cheapest we’ve ever seen the Emma mattress, but it’s still pretty good.

Eve Premium Hybrid: watch this space

We like: Supportive

We didn’t like: Only available online

Eve hasn’t announced its Black Friday deals yet, choosing to keep them under wraps until Black Friday itself. In 2019, it offered 20% off its range of mattresses. Bookmark this page as we’ll update it as soon as any deals are announced.

In the meantime, read our reviews for all the Eve mattresses we’ve tested.

Sealy Teramo 1400: £599 at mattressonline.co.uk (50% off)

We like: Pocket springs

We didn’t like: Confusing names make it hard to spot a real deal

The Sealy Teramo 1400 has been around for a while. It can also be found under a few different names, including the Nostromo 1400 and Latex 1400. This makes spotting a bargain trickier than it should be, especially when this mattress is available at multiple retailers, all with their owns deals happening.

For example, at Furniture Village, the Teramo has a £270 saving bringing the cost to £799 for a double, under the name Latex Pillow Top 1400. But at Mattressonline.co.uk, you’ll find the same mattress under the name Posturepedic Nostromo Latex 1400 Pocket Pillow Top Mattress for £599.91 – a 50% saving.

This mattress is often on offer, so it’s really worth shopping around before committing to a deal.

Head to our full Sealy Teramo 1400 review to find out how it fared in our test lab.

Simba Hybrid: £420.70 at mattressonline.co.uk

We like: Zoned support

We didn’t like: Stability

The Simba Hybrid Essential is a foam mattress with a pocket spring core. For Black Friday 2020, Simba is offering a 35% discount if you spend £300 or more, so the Simba Hybrid double mattress will cost you £499.85.

However, it’s also on offer at mattressonline.co.uk, where you’ll only pay £420.70. That’s a good deal, and the cheapest we’ve seen this mattress.

But it’s only going to be a genuine bargain if it’s the right mattress for you. Will this hybrid support your back in every sleeping position? Read our full Simba Hybrid review to find out.

Are Black Friday mattress deals worth it?

A new mattresss can be an expensive purchase, but it’s always worth shopping around to find a bargain.

While you’ll see a flurry of special offers and discounts as we approach Black Friday, not all Black Friday deals are good value. Some mattresses can be found on sale throughout the year, and usually you’ll find deals and offers in the January sales, around Easter holidays and the late Summer bank holiday.

Whatever you buy, it won’t matter how much money you’ve saved in a Black Friday deal if you the mattress you end up buying isn’t suitable for how you sleep.

We test mattresses for front, back and side sleepers and we reveal how warm or cool and breathable a mattress is. Plus, we put them through tough durability tests, simulating 10 years of use, to find out whether they’ll maintain their support for years to come.

That’s why it’s always worth reading our mattress reviews and comparing test results to make sure you invest wisely.

All the prices above are for UK doubles and are correct as of 23 November 2020. All prices are subject to change.
