How much should you spend to get a decent high chair in 2021?

When the time comes to wean your baby, you need to invest in a reliable high chair – the best we’ve seen are easy to assemble and comfortable for your peckish little monster. To help you pick the perfect high chair, we’ve sent the latest models from Graco, Joie and Stokke off to our test lab.

Prices for high chairs are all over the place. Buyers looking to save can grab a brand new high chair for as little as £9, while high-end alternatives can creep beyond the £200 mark. But ultimately, whatever your budget, you’ll want a high chair that’s safe.

That’s where our expert reviews come in. Every high chair that reaches the Which? test lab is scored on the features that matter the most – that extensive list includes comfort, ease of feeding and assembly. Keep scrolling to see how our latest on-test high chairs have performed.

Which? Best Buy high chairs – keep your child safe and comfortable

How much is a Which? Best Buy high chair?

On a mission to find out how much money will bag you a Best Buy, we’ve analysed the prices of every high chair on the Which? website. Our cheapest Best Buy high chair sits in the £50-100 price bracket, while the priciest costs around £150.

But spending over £100 on a high chair doesn’t guarantee you a Best Buy. In fact, we’ve tested several high chairs at this price that fail to impress. The worst of the bunch is a nailed-on Don’t Buy, let down by soft padding that could be a choking risk. It doesn’t fold flat, either, which makes storing it after dinner time rather tricky.

We test high chairs in our lab so you can pick the perfect option for your baby. Discover our full collection of high chair reviews.

The latest high chairs reviewed by Which?

We’ve recently tested a batch of high chairs that includes a new impressive Which? Best Buy. But it’s not all good news, as our rigorous tests have also sniffed out a flawed high chair that’s uncomfortable and let down by an unstable dinner tray.

Here’s an overview of some of the high chairs included in our latest round of testing:
