It weighs 2.2kg, which is on the lighter side.. The removable battery is mounted on the rear end for better balance and takes around an hour to charge.

Black & Decker GWC1820PC

This cordless Black & Decker leaf blower is one of the lightest we've tested. It's part of the Black & Decker 18V lithium cordless power tool range, it's available to buy with a battery and charger, or without. The battery can be swapped with other tools in the same range such as their chainsaw, hedge trimmer and power drill.

Chainsaw might not be the first garden tool you think of when it comes to cleaning up your autumn garden, but autumn and winter is a good time prune many deciduous trees and shrubs.

3. Great Value hedge trimmers

Autumn is a great time to give a last cut to hedges so they look neat during winter. Wildlife hedges are particularly good to trim as birds won't be nesting.

The temperature in the UK drop significantly in autumn, which also means slower rate of growth for your lawn, but that doesn't mean you should to completely stop cutting your grass as it will grow during mild spells over winter. Avoid walking on it if the ground is sodden or frosty as it could damage the turf.

Webb WEER36 Classic

We liked: We didn't like:

The Classic 36cm is a small, corded electric lawn mower with 1,600W motor and weighing just 11.5kg. The cutting width of 36cm makes it suitable for small and medium gardens of between 50-150 sq m - the bigger the width the faster it covers the ground, but this can also reduce how manoeuvrable your mower is. It comes with a 10-metre power cable, which may mean you'll need to use an extension cord if your lawn is longer than that. There are five cutting heights from 20-70mm, which can be set using a single lever.
