Cheapest last-minute all-inclusive holiday: Agadir and Taghazout, Morocco

Morocco can be unbearably hot in high summer, but this stretch of Atlantic coast is much cooler than the interior - an average of 26°C in August.

Agadir is one of Morocco’s biggest beach destinations, with a 9km palm-lined promenade overlooking an arc of golden sand, but you’ll also find a hilltop kasbah and spice-scented souks. The fishing village of Taghazout further along the coast is a laid-back surfers paradise

You can fly direct to Agadir from Birmingham, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester.

Ibiza cheapest last-minute all inclusive 2024

Ibiza is Europe’s cheapest all-inclusive destination this summer

If you just want to float in the glittering Mediterranean this summer, Ibiza currently offers extraordinary value at its all-inclusive resorts.

Ibiza is coming out as one of the cheapest all-inclusive destinations partly because of the availability of mid-range and keenly-priced properties from as little as £804pp. Tui’s hotels in Playa Es Cana currently offer the lowest prices.

Jet2 currently has availability from Which? Recommended Provider airport, Liverpool John Lennon, while Tui has the lowest-priced holidays remaining from Bristol, Luton, Manchester, Gatwick and Glasgow.

Should you go all inclusive this summer?

All-inclusive holidays are enjoying a surge in popularity as we all seek to control our spending. The theory is that if you’ve paid for everything in advance, there’s no need to worry that costs will snowball when you arrive.

Where you go also makes a big difference. Morocco’s west coast is this summer’s cheapest destination for an all-inclusive package and, on average, it’s £432pp cheaper than this year’s priciest all-inclusive location, Crete in northern Greece (£1,473pp).

All inclusives aren’t right for everyone. You’ll only get value from them if you mostly stay and eat at the hotel. If you don’t want to do that, book a self-catered, room only package instead. The cheapest destinations for that type of holiday are mostly completely different.

A week in Olu Deniz, known for its Blue Lagoon, is currently just £821pp on average.

Bodrum, another popular Turkish seaside resort down the coast, was almost as cheap.

Our research

We gathered the prices of 3,780 package holidays from the UK’s biggest tour operators – Jet2holidays and Tui – in June 2024. The countries we looked at were Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Spain (including the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands), Turkey and the Channel Islands.

The average price is for a seven-night holiday including flights, departing on or around 3 August, based on two people sharing a standard double or twin room. We only included destinations with a minimum availability of holidays, we removed any major cities from the results to focus on resort areas, and not all destinations were on sale with both Jet2 and Tui.
