Revealed: the happiest places to live in Great Britain in 2024

Woodbridge in Suffolk has been crowned the happiest place to live in Great Britain, in the 13th edition of Rightmove's Happy at Home Index.

The market town jumped from 17th place in 2023 to top this year's table. However, moving there might be a struggle for many, as the average asking price for a property in the town tops £440,000.

Last year's winner, the London borough of Richmond upon Thames, drops to second place in 2024's rankings. Hexham in Northumberland completes the top three, having risen from a 10th place finish last year.
