Which? Awards 2025: who's made the shortlist?

The Which? Awards are back, and we're thrilled to reveal the shortlist of standout brands that have made an impact.

These prestigious awards celebrate brands that are leading the way in championing consumers, consistently offering exceptional products and services while upholding the highest standards of customer care. This year, alongside the usual categories, we're introducing three new ones: Best Electric Car Brand, Best Health & Personal Care Brand, and Best Renewables Installer of the Year. 

The Which? Awards are completely independent – brands can't nominate themselves or influence who wins.

Here, we reveal the full shortlist for each of the 13 categories. The winners will be announced on 21 May.

Which? Baby & Child Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

The brands shortlisted for Which? Baby & Child Brand of the Year award have shown the right mix of safety, protection, comfort and innovation in one or more of the products that Which? has rigorously tested and reviewed.

Which? Banking Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

The Banking Brand category combines current accounts, savings, credit cards and mortgages.

Brands are shortlisted for being highly rated by customers who responded to our in-depth assessments and surveys over the past 12 months.

Which? Best Value Appliance Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

This award covers brands producing household appliances such as air fryers, microwaves, fridge freezers and more. Brands are shortlisted for demonstrating that affordability doesn’t mean sacrificing on performance.

Appliances achieved high scores in our lab tests at a lower price point than competitors. Performance between 28 February 2024 and 10 Febrary 2025 was judged.

Which? Customer Service Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

Brands from any sector can be shortlisted for consistently putting customers first and providing excellent service, reflected in a high customer score in our surveys.

Which? Electric Car Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

Electric Car Brand of the Year is a new category for this year's awards. 

With the government’s mandate for 100% of new vehicles being zero emission by 2035, this award has been introduced to recognise manufacturers driving forward this new age of motoring.

Brands are shortlisted for offering a mix of innovative, efficient and safe electric vehicles (EVs) based on our road and lab-based testing.

Which? Health & Personal Care Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

Another newcomer for this year's awards is the Health & Personal Care Brand of the Year category. 

This award recognises manufacturers releasing products across multiple areas in the crowded health and personal care sector, including grooming, skincare, oral health, sleep and more.

Brands are shortlisted for producing high-quality products at an affordable price, which improves the lives of consumers.

Which? Home Entertainment Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

This award covers brands producing products such as headphones, soundbars and TVs.

Brands are shortlisted for devices that consistently score highly in our rigorous testing.

Which? Insurance Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

This category covers insurance brands that have excelled in areas such as level of home and car insurance coverage, customer satisfaction rate, and quality of service. Brands are shortlisted for being highly rated by customers who responded to our in-depth assessments and surveys over the past 12 months.

Which? Renewables Installer Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

The Renewable Installers category focuses on firms that provide green energy solutions for homes and businesses.

As well as being sustainable, the brands shortlisted are judged on customer care and service.

Which? Retailer of the Year

Shortlist: 

Retailers are shortlisted for consistently scoring highly for delivering outstanding customer service, range and quality of products, as well as value for money.

Which? Travel Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

This award covers airlines, holiday companies, airports, ferries, holiday cottages, hotel chains, overseas self-catering providers (villas) and river cruises. 

Brands are shortlisted for scoring highly for customer satisfaction and having a higher-than-average value-for-money rating.

Nominated companies have shown that they make life better for travellers by delivering the best trips and experiences judged from 1 March 2024 to 28 February 2025.

Which? Trusted Trader of the Year

Shortlist: 

Which? Trusted Traders are shortlisted for providing high levels of customer care and service and excelling against benchmarks set by our trading standards professionals for our Which? Trusted Traders endorsement scheme.

All companies shortlisted have shown dedication to providing the best service to their customers, as demonstrated through positive feedback, compliance with the Which? code of conduct and having a positive community impact.

Which? Utilities Brand of the Year

Shortlist: 

Broadband, mobile network and energy companies are all eligible for this award. 

Brands are shortlisted for consistently receiving high scores in Which? 's customer satisfaction surveys for providing reliable services that are good value and genuinely customer-focused over the past 12 months.

When will the winners be revealed?

The winners will be revealed at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 21 May.

An expert panel of judges will decide which company deserves to win. 

Winners will receive a trophy and are entitled to use a Which? Awards winner endorsement logo across their marketing for a year.
