If you want a full ‘office’ experience at home, an all-in-one printer is what you’re looking for. These will scan and copy, and sometimes fax, as well as print.
They might be a bit bulkier than standard models, so you might have to make a bit of space. Some of the more expensive all-in-one printers also have extra features such as an automatic document feeder, which saves you the tedious task of scanning pages individually.
