We’ve crunched the numbers to see which of our expert product reviews have generated the most interest so far this year. The cheapest TV on our list (a 43-inch model) will set you back by around £380, while the priciest (a 55-inch OLED) sits closer to £1,000.
Below, we reveal the top five most popular TVs on Which? and where you can buy them. Stock is low for some of the models we’ve selected, so consult our expert TV reviews if you need a second option – every review suggests alternative models, including a cheaper Best Buy.

1. LG 49NANO816NA (£799)

Behold, the most popular TV on our website this year. This 49-inch TV from LG makes up part of the brand’s nanocell range, which is designed to filter out colours to keep your picture looking as natural as possible.
So what makes this LG model so popular? Standing tall with a 49-inch display, it’s a decent size for the living room, plus 4K resolution will help you watch compatible content on streaming services including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. There’s also a satellite and Freeview tuner for watching free SD and HD channels.

2. LG 43UN74006LB (£399)

This LG TV is a little smaller than our most popular TV of the year – it has a 43-inch display and sits at the lower end of LG’s 2020 line-up. The TV supports basic HDR formats (HDR10 and HLG) and you can use it to view free SD and HD channels through the aerial and satellite tuners.
The LG 43UN74006LB comes bundled with the brand’s Magic Remote. If you point the remote directly at your TV, a cursor pops up on-screen so you can flick through menus and select your favourite TV series.

3. LG 43UN73006LC (£379)

This is the second 43-inch LG to claim a place in our top five. It’s not the most advanced TV we’ve seen – although you can watch 4K content, this model doesn’t work with Dolby Vision or HDR10+, which are used to adjust contrast levels on a scene-by-scene basis.
You can explore free SD and HD channels by tapping away on LG’s Magic Remote. All of your streaming apps are accessible from a bar at the bottom of the screen.

4. Samsung UE50TU8500 (£599)

If you’re shopping for a large TV that can keep you entertained on movie night, you may be considering this Samsung model. It has a hefty 50-inch display and is still one of the brand’s cheaper 4K LCD TVs – we sent it off to our test lab to see if it’s also one of the best.
With this being a Samsung TV, it’s powered by the Tizen operating system. Tizen swiftly loads up menus and has help text that explains the various adjustable settings.

5. LG OLED55BX6LB (£999)

This 55-inch TV from LG doesn’t come cheap, yet it’s still one of the most-searched-for models on our website. It sits within LG’s most affordable OLED range and supports three HDR formats, including Dolby Vision. This tech is used to adjust contrast levels depending on what you’re watching which, in theory, should prevent content from appearing too dark or too bright.
Typing using the on-screen keyboard can be tedious at times, so you may want to use voice control to search for that new series you’ve been desperate to binge.
